Three decades of building buses in Karur
From a small workshop in Govindampalayam to a name trusted across Tamil Nadu — here's the MCB story.
It started in 1992, when V Ramesh Kumar, B AnanthaLakshmi and Soundararajan Venugopal set up a modest coach-building workshop in Govindampalayam, Andankoil West, on the outskirts of Karur. The goal was simple: build bus bodies that village and town operators could depend on, at a price that made sense.
Three decades later, that workshop has grown into Maaruti Coach Builders Pvt. Ltd. — a name recognised across Tamil Nadu's bus body-building trade, still run on the same principle: honest work, fair pricing, and a bus that lasts.
